The Nigerian Universities Commission has recently approved Fifty-One new undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the Osun State University. It will be recalled that the University had earlier requested for the Resource Verification of fifty-one new undergraduate and post-graduate programmes to enable the University to achieve its vision and mission. UPDATE 🔥 JAMB DE-LIST 11 CENTERS AND DECLARE WARNINGS TO ALL CANDIDATES

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has withdrawn licences from 11 centres for charging candidates exorbitant amount in the ongoing 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) registration. Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, Registrar of the board, made this known in Abuja on Tuesday, at an interactive session with stakeholders. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the stakeholders comprises – the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC), banks, E-transact, Digital Partner Network, Interswitch and other service providers. Oloyede said that the proliferation of tutorial centres was a major concern as most of the centres engaged in fraud and corruption, during registrations and examinations. Oloyede said that charging above the stipulated N4,700 for the 2020 UTME registration was illegitimate and would only destroy the nation; as it was an act of fraud and corruption. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has arrested four CBT agents who sold the ePINS for the ongoing 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)/Direct Entry (DE) registrations above the stipulated amount. The suspects who have also been suspended were identified as Abdulrazak Adiza, Mathew Joe, Obekee Godday and Inyang Patrick. JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin who confirmed the arrest said the cost of the ePINs is N3500 while that of the reading text is N500. Mr Benjamin also averred that any outlet caught selling the ePINS higher than the prescribed amount would be sanctioned immediately.

FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, AKURE (FUTA)

The management of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), has announced the registration deadline for the 2019/2020 academic session newly admitted and returning students. The 2019/2020 ONLINE registration exercise commences on Monday, 13th January, 2020. The NORMAL registration continues between Sunday, 26th January and Friday, 7th February, 2020. LATE registration for all students will begin on Monday 10th February, 2020 and end on Monday, 24th February, 2020. The University portal for this exercise will be closed by 12 midnight of Monday 24th February, 2020. Please note that all concerned students MUST abide by this arrangement to the letter as there would be NO opportunity to register after the expiration of the period of registration. All spillover students are specially advised to strictly adhere to this schedule.

Don't use the sim you used to register last year and register this year again because many Jambites are planning for re-sitting and you're adviced to use the sim card you've not used for registration before.

JAMB UPDATE

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) regrets to announce that there would be no (and there should be no) registration exercise in the 243 centres where a third-party recruitment examination will take place across the nation today, Thursday, January 16, 2020. This is to avoid overcrowding of the centres. Registration exercise, however, will resume on Friday, January 17, 2020. The Board regrets all inconveniences this decision must have caused the candidates. Check  here  for a list of the affected centres.
